We don't tune pianos ourselves — but we partner with a small group of vetted local tuners. Tell us about your piano and we'll connect you with the right one.
A piano is a living thing. Strings stretch, soundboards shift with the seasons, and felt hammers wear from use. Every piano needs to be tuned periodically, even one that doesn't get played.
We don't tune pianos ourselves — but we work hand-in-hand with a small group of trusted local tuners we've vetted over the past decade. Tell us a little about your piano and we'll connect you with the right one.
Even if the piano isn't being played. Pianos drift naturally with humidity and temperature.
Wait for the piano to acclimate to the new room before booking. Tuning the day-of is a waste — it'll drift again as it settles.
Recital, concert, or recording session? Tune the day of, or the morning of, for the cleanest result.
Only if the piano is the main act. For background or ceremony music, you can usually skip it.
Our tuning partners set their own rates based on the piano, the location, and how long it's been since the last tuning. A typical routine tuning runs around $150, but it can be more if the piano has drifted significantly flat or sharp and needs a pitch correction.
Once you submit the form, the tuner we refer you to will give you a confirmed quote directly.
The only pianos we tune in-house are our own rental pianos, at the venue, on the day of the rental. If you've booked one of our pianos for an event and want it tuned at the venue, that's a $150 add-on at booking.

Once a year, minimum. Pianos drift even when they're not played — temperature swings, humidity, and the slow stretch of strings all pull a piano out of tune over time.
Wait 2–4 weeks after the move so the piano can settle into its new environment, then book the tuning. Tuning the same day as a move is generally a waste — the piano will drift again as it acclimates.

About 90 minutes for a routine tuning. Longer if the piano needs a pitch correction or hasn't been tuned in years.
No — digital pianos don't need tuning. They use sampled or generated sound rather than physical strings.
We don't do repairs in-house. The same partners we refer for tuning can handle most light repairs (sticking keys, a broken string, regulating action) and will refer out for major rebuilds.
After. Move it first, give it 2–4 weeks to acclimate, then book a tuning.
We tune our rental pianos 12–15 times a year, so they stay close to pitch. If your event truly needs the piano spot-on (a recital or recording), you can add venue tuning at booking for $150.
Tell us about your piano and we'll match you with the right partner — usually within a business day.
