est. 2014
Moving pianos across Utah since 2014 — uprights, grands, organs, and digitals. House-to-house, in-house, or long-distance.
Moving pianos is our business. It requires tools and techniques that general movers simply don't have, and we specialize in only moving pianos. Most homes in Utah have porch steps, basements, second floors, and tight turns — the kind of details that derail a generalist crew but are routine for ours.
Standard crew size is three. Smaller jobs we send two; bigger or trickier ones, four or more. The lead on every move has done dozens of pianos with us before going lead, so when our guys show up, you're getting a trained crew, not a body count. We carry $2 million in general liability and we cover your piano at both pickup and drop-off.
Want a quote in 5 minutes? Upload a short video walking the path your piano will take (including any stairs at both ends) to safeandsoundpianos.com/upload and we'll send back a confirmed price.
Base rates inside the Salt Lake Valley. Stairs, long-distance travel, and difficult access are quoted on top — and the cost calculator handles all of that automatically.

Yes. We carry a $2 million general liability policy that covers your piano at both the pickup and drop-off locations. The only thing we don't cover is pre-existing damage.
Two to four, depending on piano size, stairs, and access. We bring the right crew for the job, and you don't need to arrange anything on your end.
A house-to-house move is from one address to another. An in-house move is within the same building (e.g., from the living room to the basement, or one floor to another). In-house moves are typically priced 25–35% lower than the equivalent house-to-house move.
Yes. Anywhere in Utah, and we do interstate moves on request. Travel outside the Valley is $150 per hour of round-trip drive time.
Almost certainly, yes. Upload a short video walking the path the piano will take to safeandsoundpianos.com/upload, including the stairs and the space at the top and bottom. We'll quote it accurately and bring the right crew and equipment.
No. Don't try to wrap it, don't try to dolly it, and please don't let your nephew help. We bring all the pads, straps, and equipment.
A $50 deposit reserves your spot. The balance is due on the day of the move via Venmo (preferred) or card.
